В статье рассматриваются тенденции развития современной семьи, ситуация добровольного отказа от материнства, страхи будущих матерей и их причины. Период ожидания рождения ребенка, а также его планирование или отказ от планирования анализируются как источник возникновения страхов беременности и родов. Обсуждается спецификация страха беременности и родов у женщин.

The article presents some modern family development trends. Expecting‑a-baby period is analysed as a source of fears of pregnancy and childbirth. The specification of the women’s fear of pregnancy in childbirth is discussed.
