<p>The article examines the potential use of artificial intelligence in resolving private law disputes and the applicability of international experience to mediation in Russia. The study aims to develop a legal framework for integrating AI into mediation while preserving the parties’ autonomy in decision-making. It considers international digital dispute resolution services alongside Russian practices of online mediation. The article argues for a clear distinction between consent to the use of AI and acceptance of proposals generated with its assistance. Particular attention is paid to confidentiality, verification of AI‑generated outputs, and the allocation of responsibility for errors. It concludes that selected AI functions may be incorporated into mediation provided that their use is appropriate to the nature of the dispute and complies with Russian law and the consensual nature of mediation.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>mediation</kwd><kwd>private‑law dispute</kwd><kwd>party autonomy</kwd><kwd>mediated settlement agreement</kwd><kwd>confidentiality</kwd><kwd>online dispute resolution</kwd><kwd>foreign practices</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>медиация</kwd><kwd>частно-правовой спор</kwd><kwd>автономия воли</kwd><kwd>медиативное соглашение</kwd><kwd>конфиденциальность</kwd><kwd>цифровое урегулирование споров</kwd><kwd>зарубежный опыт</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">[1] Добряков Д. В.
