<p>The article is devoted to a theoretical and legal analysis of the phenomenon of “legal hallucinations” of artificial intelligence and its impact on legal consciousness. It is substantiated that the generation of unreliable legal information by an artificial intelligence system is not only a technical problem, but also an independent issue of legal theory. A legal hallucination is defined as unreliable legal information generated by a system in a form that outwardly resembles reliable legal knowledge. It is shown that a technical error by itself does not alter legal consciousness: it acquires theoretical and legal significance when such information is accepted by a person as reliable legal knowledge and is used by that person in choosing legally significant behavior. Three levels of the phenomenon are distinguished: a technical error of the system, a legal hallucination as an information product, and false legal knowledge of a person. A distinction is drawn between false legal knowledge and legal error. The article concludes that theoretical and legal approaches to legal knowledge and legal information should be further developed, taking into account the spread of artificial intelligence as a new mediator between the individual and legal reality.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>legal consciousness</kwd><kwd>legal hallucinations</kwd><kwd>false legal knowledge</kwd><kwd>legal information</kwd><kwd>legal knowledge</kwd><kwd>legal error</kwd><kwd>digitalization of law</kwd><kwd>legal theory</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>правосознание</kwd><kwd>правовые галлюцинации</kwd><kwd>ложное правовое знание</kwd><kwd>правовая информация</kwd><kwd>правовое знание</kwd><kwd>юридическая ошибка</kwd><kwd>цифровизация права</kwd><kwd>теория права</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">[1] Петренко И. А. 2025. № 3 (7).
