В статье речь идет об организации процесса самовоспитания, саморазвития осужденных, основанной на понимании и реализации в поведении, отношениях и деятельности духовно-нравственных ценностей, а так как педагогический процесс воспитательной колонии имеет цель исправления осужденных, то система исправления в воспитательных колониях является целесообразной и оправданной, с точки зрения духовно-нравственного становления личности в том случае, если предполагаемая преемственность от накопленного в процессе исправления базиса к последующему, от этапа к этапу, организуется в рамках соответствующей воспитательной системы, ориентированной на духовно-нравственной ценности личности определенного возрастного периода.

The article discusses the organization of the process of self-education and self-development of convicts, which is based on the understanding and implementation of spiritual and moral values in their behavior, relationships, and activities. Since the pedagogical process in a correctional colony aims to correct the convicts, the system of correction in correctional colonies is appropriate and justified from the perspective of the spiritual and moral development of the individual. This is possible if the proposed continuity from the accumulated basis of correction to the subsequent stages is organized within the framework of an appropriate educational system that focuses on the spiritual and moral values of the individual at a certain age.
