Целью исследования явилось выявление механизмов формирования зави симости от просмотра коротких видеороликов (шортсов) с акцентом на роль синдрома упущенной выгоды (англ. Fear of missing out, FOMO). Гипотеза исследования: зависимость от просмотра коротких видеороликов опосредована механизмом FOMO и сопровождается патологической стимуляцией дофаминовой системы, что проявляется в снижении саморе гуляции и формировании аддиктивного поведения; при этом дисциплинарная образова тельная среда может выступать протективным фактором. Задачи исследования: 1) анализсвязи между уровнем FOMO и выраженностью признаков зависимости от просмотра шортсов; 2) сравнительный анализ особенностей аддиктивного поведения в регламенти рованной и нерегламентированной образовательных средах. Проведён сравнительный анализдвух выборок – курсантов ВЮИФСИН России (n=240) и студентов ЮИВлГУ (n=155). Результаты: выявлена положительная корреляция между уровнем FOMO и выраженностью признаков зависимости (r=0,67, p<0,01). У 77% студентов с высоким уровнем FOMO (>28 баллов) отмечалось превышение запланированного времени просмотра шортсов, тогда как среди курсантов с аналогичным уровнем FOMO данный показатель составил 36%. По казано, что регламентированная образовательная среда ведомственного вуза способ ствует формированию навыков самоконтроля и снижает уязвимость к развитию аддик ции

The aim of this study was to identify the mechanisms underlying the development of addiction to watching short videos (shorts), with an emphasis on the role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). The research hypothesis wasthat addiction to watching short videos is mediated by the FOMO mechanism and accompanied by pathological stimulation of the dopamine system, which manifests in reduced self-regulation and the formation of addictive behavior; furthermore, a discipli nary educational environment may act as a protective factor. The research objectives were: 1) to analyze the relationship between FOMO levels and the severity of addiction symptoms to watching shorts; 2) to conduct a comparative analysis of the characteristics of addictive behavior in regulated and non-regulated educational environments. A comparative analysis of twosamples wasconduct ed: cadets from the Vladimir LawInstitute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia (n=240) and students from the LawInstitute of VlSU (n=155). Results: A positive correlation wasfound between FOMO levels and the severity of addiction symptoms (r=0.67, p<0.01). Among students with high FOMO levels (>28 points), 77% reported exceeding their planned time for watching shorts, whereas among cadets with similar FOMO levels, this indicator was 36%. Itwasdemonstrated that the regu lated educational environment of a specialized institutional university fosters the development of self-control skills and reduces vulnerability to developing addiction
